Read MoreWhat is Anomaly Detected?
Anomaly Detected is a Roblox horror game built around a single idea: something in the room has changed, and you are the only one watching. You sit at a bank of surveillance monitors, compare each feed against how the room is supposed to look, and file a report the moment you catch a discrepancy. Furniture shifts, lights flicker, and figures that should not be there appear on camera — miss enough of them and the shift is over for good.
The game ships as a series of contracts rather than one endless map. Five chapters are live — The Residence, The Neighbourhood, The School, The Hospital, and The Mall — and each one is a self-contained location with its own anomaly set and its own journal to complete. Every chapter can be replayed on higher difficulties, including a Veteran tier that very few players ever clear. It was built by solo developer BanuTheCat under the X Core Studios group, and it supports both solo shifts and co-op lobbies of up to eight players.
Camera Observation
Every shift is a memory test. You sweep a bank of feeds, hold the correct look of each room in your head, and catch the one detail that no longer matches.
Anomaly Spotting
Furniture moves, art swaps, lights die and figures appear on a single camera. Report the real changes and ignore the decoys that cost you the shift.
Co-op Lobbies
Up to eight players can split the camera bank, call out anomalies over voice and cover the rooms a solo watcher would have to skip.
Four Difficulty Tiers
Rookie, Normal, Advanced and Veteran change the reporting window and the anomaly spawn rate — Veteran clears sit under one percent on every map.
Because the whole game is observation, this wiki is built around reference material: complete anomaly catalogs, per-room camera notes, difficulty and clear-rate breakdowns, and journal checklists so you always know exactly what you are still missing. New contracts and anomaly packs are confirmed to be in development, so the reference keeps growing with the game.

Anomaly Classes at a Glance
The anomaly types you will meet most often, grouped by how they present on a camera feed. Start with the object changes — they are the most reliable reads for a new player.
The Five Live Contracts
Each contract is its own building with its own anomaly pool, and clearing one is the only way to unlock the next. Clear rates come from Roblox badge award data.
The Residence
Easiest — the tutorial contract
Bedroom set: bed, nightstand, dresser and window anomalies
The Neighbourhood
Moderate — outdoor cameras
Street, driveway and window changes across several houses
The School
Hard — long sightlines
Missing desks, altered chalkboards and corridor figures
The Hospital
Hardest live contract
Ward layouts, moving curtains and silhouettes behind glass
The Mall
Newest — added Sep 12, 2026
Storefront, mannequin and escalator anomalies still being catalogued
Difficulty Tiers Compared
Difficulty changes the reporting window and the anomaly spawn rate, not just how fast the figure moves. Pick your tier before you queue — you cannot change it mid-shift.
Threats and Entities
Not every anomaly is scenery. These are the presences that can end a shift outright, ranked by how much they should worry you.
The Lurker
Report early and often — once it is active you can only survive by clearing the remaining anomalies fast
Hallway Silhouette
Check corridors and stairwells on every sweep; a still figure is easier to miss than a moving one
Face and Eye Anomaly
Inspect wall art and reflective surfaces with zoom before filing your report
Environmental Threat
Re-check rooms you have already cleared; environmental anomalies often trigger late in a shift
Anomaly Detected FAQ
How many anomalies are in Anomaly Detected?+
The community currently tracks around 61 anomalies across the five live chapters, though there is no official in-game total published by the developer. Each chapter has its own fixed anomaly pool that can spawn in its rooms, and the pool grows every time a new contract or anomaly pack is added. Treat any number as a point-in-time snapshot rather than a fixed limit.
What happens if I report the wrong anomaly?+
Reporting something that is part of the normal room set wastes the time you could have spent on a real anomaly, and repeated wrong reports push you toward the failure threshold. Because the timer keeps running while you decide, a false report is usually more costly than a few extra seconds of checking. Confirm the change against your mental baseline before you commit.
Why is Veteran mode so hard to clear?+
Veteran tightens the reporting window, increases how quickly anomalies stack up, and shrinks the margin for a wrong call. Roblox badge data puts Veteran clear rates near one percent on the early chapters and well under that on later maps, with only a few hundred players holding any Veteran completion badge. It is designed for players who can already sweep a chapter without hesitating.
How do I complete a chapter journal?+
A journal entry unlocks the first time you witness and correctly report that anomaly during a shift, so completing a journal means seeing every anomaly in a chapter at least once. Captures count on any difficulty tier, which makes lower difficulties the efficient way to grind them. Journal 100 percent badges are the rarest in the game because a single missed anomaly can cost an entire run.
Does Anomaly Detected support co-op?+
Yes. Lobbies support up to eight players, and co-op is the fastest way to cover every camera in a large chapter like The Hospital or The Mall, because each player can watch a different section of the feed bank. The trade-off is coordination: you need a clear way to call out anomalies without talking over each other, and everyone shares the same failure timer.
